Haha, my goodness it's been like 2 over months since I last updated my blog? haha.

Seeing the tagboard, I feel the pressure and need to do an update at long last... haha.

Things have been amazing, finally getting past 'BMT'. Playing on the worship team, seeing people getting ministered by the presence of God. It's just simply fulfilling, but yet how many of us know that other than just these mountaintop times with God, all of us also have the times in the valley?

I think that's what really makes the Christian walk exciting. That as a Church, we are going through a different timing. As individuals, we also are going through different season. Looking at the big picture we begin to see how our individuality can actually help serve the church, that as we go through such seasons, it's so that we can help others in the future.

I really learnt that we always need to progress, that we need to keep moving forward. Yesterday's revelation is only good for yesterday. We need a revelation for today, for today my friends.

It's amazing to see how God can open up our eyes to things unseen. God was showing it to me through the story of Moses, where he was asked to remove his sandals when he was at the burning bush meeting God. We all know that he removed it because God said that it was holy ground. But the cool thing is, God showed me that he was asked to remove his shoes so that he will stay focused and not move from the presence of God.

We wear shoes when we need to move, need to do things, places to go, etc. So the removing of his shoes, was significant that God just wanted him not to be bothered about anything else! It really is a reminder for all of us that when we come to God, let us not come with just our prayers and our requests. But let's just really love God!

This weekend's going to be exciting, Pastor Lia's preaching and also Pastor Steve Munsey too. It's going to rock our worlds!

Haha, i can't sleep man.

Been trying to sleep the past hour, but no avail... So, decided to do some blogging instead. Things have been quite boring in camp, wells, not that I'm unhappy about the 8 - 5, it's just that I want to kinda do something? haha.

So wells, now in camp, all I do is talk to my sgts and some of my fellow man, do my BRP and just walk around in camp.. Wells, it really seems slack doesn't it? Truth is, it is! Haha, wells, but when the month comes to an end, then I start doing work, cause there reports that are needed to be done.

Been doing pretty much administration in the CG which is fun, cause it's really increasing my mental capacity to hold more. But there are still things lacking, so I got to more on that. Also, just been thinking about how to get people connected to the CG more, especially when it comes to the integration. It really is fun doing work on the ground, seeing how their lives change and destinies open up in God.

I'm just waiting for this weekend, there's so much on-going. Martyrs Svc with Pastor Joakim, is going to be a blast! And also heart fest, it's going to be a fun time and the finishing off with an evangelist service. How beautiful a way to end a fun-filled day and ironically, it's valentine's day too!

Reading blogs and just popping around to the many blogs of my friends that I have not visited in the past months.

Things are simply amazing, everyone's growing, in thoughts, in the things they do, everything's just going another level higher. It's just exciting seeing everyone grow and of course, not get left behind in it!

Think this post is a little late, mainly because my mind is more in order, haha. Kinda went through an ordeal mentally few months ago, but wells, God is always good and always faithful.

Was reading the Bible yesterday and something really struck me. God actually plans the way for us, I mean we all hear that often, but yesterday it was a fresh new revelation for me. Because it was stated so clearly in the Bible! Ha.

This year is just striking the ground, doing what we do best, in loving people, in events, in giving God the best years of our lives, in being who we really are. The 'Ethos' of HOGC, in bred in us.

This year's going to be a blast, wells it's said every year, but this year, it's going to be even greater. A mega event's coming soon and that will be super cool. An event where a new wave of secondary school students will come, it's time where we spot ourselves in there.

The times where we were young and God reached out to us, let's do the same for this upcoming Heart 'Fest' '09!

CNY

CNY's kinda ended and wells, this year, it's really quieter than the usual.

Wells, we did have our share of fun, movies, gaming and for some of us, Kbox. It was good as it was a period of them where everyone grew closer and also, more than that, it was a time where we got to know more people too, haha.

Oh yeah, and some of us ended our CNY with the grand finale of walking around orchard, to selegie and to esplanade, haha.

It's also back to work and school for all of us, haha. And I'm pretty sure many of us are still stuck in the holiday mood, for myself, I sure am, ha. But it's time to get our engines running and start working, ha.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the this weekend's combined service. It's going to be a blast. And after that we've got paintball on Sunday, it's going to be fun, but I'm sure it's going to be tiring, ending with hoarse throats due to shouting and all, haha.

So till another time, "Team, move out!"

Hmmm... Apparently, my blog seems dead, ha. Wells, haven't really been updating it up and also personally, don't have much to update about, ha.

Life's simple now, ha. Wells, it's always been just that we as humans make it complicated for ourselves, haha. So now, it's God, church, drums, people and... work? haha. Having too many other things will just get is pre-occupied with unnecessary stuff.

Oh yeah, been going on face-book alot, ha. So I'm like just adding people whom I've seen in church, haha. And it's quite fun seeing some of the applications they have too, ha.

Drumming.... Man, I seriously missed doing that got the opportunity to play again last weekend and it was great, other than just having the chance to serve God in it. It was just amazing seeing people getting ushered into the presence of God. Think as musicians/ worshippers of God, that is really the more important thing.

Joanne was sharing with O2 that when we play our instruments, it should not just be our skills, that show, but rather, it's our spirituality. And that is more important, because skills can never make up for it.

Lastly, on a side-note, I'll try to blog more often, ha. Kinda lost the momentum to blog like I used to, haha.

Haha, had cohesion today and it was quite crappy.

It was mainly dinner, but for 4 hours!? It was insane, ha.

Anyways, I need to get back to the momentum of working, ha. Haven't really gotten out of the holiday mood after having a long break from work. But I'm glad to get the time off also because it allowed me to work out my drumming and other things too, haha.

I'm looking forward to playing again, and I'm getting my first rehearsal this week! It's really been a while, and though it might not seem much, it's really a great privilege to just be back playing, even if it's just 1 song, it's more than enough.

After 1 year and 3 months, finally I get to be involved in rehearsals again! It's going to be good. Gotta get the touch back!

Ha, haven't blogged in a while, and decided to blog for a bit, ha.

Things have been good, had many things running through my mind recently and I'm just looking forward to the new year.

2008 has pasted and wells, for all of us, let's move on, ha. It doesn't matter how the past year was for you, the most important thing is to pick yourself up and move on. We might have completed some things and maybe some yet to. But let's just put things aside and carry on, start the year new and continue running again!

Pastor Lia preached yesterday and it was simply, amazing. What Pastor Lia shared about our 'Ethos' was a great reminder for many of us who have been in heart of God church, regardless of whether you were in the 'Henderson' years or 'FTMS' years. You are still with us, in heart of God church, and in our 'Ethos'!

Like Pastors shared before, we are still pretty much in the beginning, thus don't feel left out, you are family, one of us and true blue HOGC! Hold fast to your calling, you have a destiny in this House.

God is good!!! At long last after so so long, 8-5 has become reality, haha. It's really exciting, not because of the 8-5 only, but that God's really been present in the situation.

Been praying alot in camp and just 4ding that it'd happen and it really did in the end. God's always faithful eventually. But the cool thing is that through these few weeks, many things have changed, haha.

Through praying and spending time with God, my mind was really opened and receive many new revelations too! Excited and happy beyond words.

Haha, today was mainly a day at home, but yesterday was a good night. Was at Ivan's place and we went running and did some exercise, which was cool, haha. We were the few jokers who were exercising like... at 2am!? Ha!

Wells, that aside, things have been good. Weekend with Pastor Kong was basically.... mind-blowing, what Pastor Kong shared really changed my mindset and increased my faith. Wells, I've got less than a year left and honestly, I don't really have faith that I'll be able to get an 8 - 5 and be back serving God any time soon. But now, I'm stepping out in faith again, having thoughts and proclaiming that 8 - 5 will be possible!

I realise that our thoughts are really important, that we must always be aware what's the most dominant thing on our mind, because God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above that thought! So what is in your mind? Get it sorted, and I believe you'll see God move in your life like never before! Guess that's why God and Pastors always speak about the renewing of our minds and also having control over in our thought life!

Wells, just wanted to blog it out, actually wrote it down in my journal a long time ago, haha. Wells, thought it'd be good to blog it out too.

Anyways, it's going to be exciting weeks ahead! Let's grow and bring the church to 1,400! And keep growing!

Haha, life's been good. Wells, as usual, it's only the 'work' part which is kinda crappy. Just feel joy recently, wells it's quite hard to explain, but I guess it's just the joy of God.

Been really thinking alot the past few days, even back at 'work'. Wells, the church is really at a season for growth so been really thinking about it on an individual level. Think there's like so much more to grow in, and the year's already ending. Wells, got to go for a final push before the year ends!

I'm still praying for the door to be open, ha. Though I've only less than a year left, still the desire to be back is burning even greater! I miss the days of playing the drums with the team, the days of just being around with church, messing around with people, getting to know newer people in church, being around Pastors and the leaders. So so many things!

Wells, till then, guess it's all about prayer and growth till the door opens, I want to ready when I'm back, so it's back to basics and work? haha. Wells, been really practising my craft and it's really fun just messing around and practicing on the drums, haha.

Yesterday's soccer was fun, wells if you know, I don't really play soccer, but it was really fun, it was a light-hearted session, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I look forward to more soccer games, haha!

I can't wait for the upcoming services, it's going to be a blast! Service with Nick Vujiic was super powerful, like Joanne blogged, he's a man with a big spirit, a person who really knows God intimately and is secured in God. I need to be more like him, how many of you know that though we seem physically able, we sometimes really aren't? It's because it's not about what we have or look on the outside, but what's on our insides that really counts!

It's going to be an exciting Nov and Dec, with the coming growth and the people. 1,400 will happen. Let's carry the burden with Pastors and the leaders!

Haha, it's not going to be another 19 days before I update my blog.

Things have been good. Been really going through a period of soul-searching with God, ha. Wells, it's more like a re-shift of focus again and that it's time to keep progressing in God.

Service was great. Pastor How was sharing with us about the anointing and one the things that really impacted me was actually that the world will see the scars that we have and know and know and know that the God we serve is real.

Think about it, how many youths in Singapore have seen 2 of their friends passed away in front of them due to an accident? We really have gone through much as a church, if only we can see that we really are a different group of people. But like Pastor How shared, we are not better, we are just different.

It's been really a good week, was really seeking God in camp too. And really got what I've been seeking God for and yep, so it's here all over again, ha. I know I say this many times, but yeah, it's the time for us to grow as Christians before we do anything else.

Also, Nick Vujicic and Pastor Kong's up this coming week. It's going to be a blast. We're all going to go up another level again, and with that we're heading to the 1,400 at the end of the year.

Let's go people, just abit more and the year ends. Let's keep going for God.

Growth

Haha, an entry with the same title of a past entry, but it's really been 1 of the most important words for me this season.

It's really just been a time of growth and focus. A time to implement things in my life and also a time to stop doing somethings in my life. And it's really been great, though of course there are struggles with the new things, but it's all been good.

It's just a great feeling when you really are focused and growing. You feel light, that there's not bothering you and God and that you can just really run fully for Him and do what He already has intended for you. Was talking to Hong Hwee and we realised that we are going through the same thing, and also was talking to Ivan a week back and we are also going through it.

It's really a season of growth, not just in the numbers for the church, but we as Christians need to grow individually. Remember the times where the growth just came? It was because we were focused on God. So let us continue to chase God as we build His church. Let's not be people who labour in vain, because if God builds the house, nothing will be able to pull it down!

So let's continue to grow in God as we do the labour of love that we all so love to do! Growth!

Ha, 1 year has passed and with that, I've become older too. Many thanks for the greetings, love you guys. To the many years ahead, where Church goes to the thousands! I look forward to receiving greetings from you guys every year!

Anyways, I'll be 'working' on the weekends this week, which is quite crap cause I'm going to miss church... but wells, I'm still too new to take any time off to attend church, so I just got to wait till I become more senior? Haha.

So what does it mean to grow by 1 year? Is it age? Or? Was just spending time with God before the time came and was just praying and asking God for increase. That I would grow to become even more matured spiritually, there's just so much more to learn and to grow in, so many areas that need changing also. Truth is, I feel that I need to grow even more now that I've been a Christian for so long, and that there's really more that I don't know about God also, haha.

Wells, I think it'll sound weird, but isn't it true? We only grow to realise how much we can never comprehend God? I just want to keep growing and seeing where He's going to take me for my remaining year of 'service'.

Grow me and make me. I just want more of You daily, let Your Presence stay with me!

Haha, it's been ages since I last blogged and having the chance to finally be back in civilization it's a good time to do some updates.

Wells.. eventually I'm back to doing shift work, meaning that I'll be back in camp tomorrow, crap. But just endure... 1 more year to go and also with the new schedule, hopefully I'll be able to serve God again soon. I can't wait to be back!

Missed out alot last week. Wasn't around to see Ivan, who finally booked out after confinement! I'm looking forward to hanging out with him soon, haha. I guess it's really an HOGC army guy's thing, whenever we book out we head down to church. To enter into the presence of God and God's people. Being around pastors, the leaders and the close friends that you have, just really soothes your soul, haha.

Like Ivan said, we miss all of you! Even in camp, we always think of you. That's why sometimes you get smses from us, and of course the smses that we receive from you guys mean alot too!

And yeah.. fellowship, haha. Been lacking that the past week, though I got to have it yesterday while hanging out the drummers, haha. Just talked and did nonsense, it was a therapeutic session for all of us, haha.

So yep, that's about it for this entry, I'm quite scared about friday. Going to have a grand finale to end our training before we turn ready.... Got to do well or at least pass, my weekend can't be burnt again!

True Worshippers......

It's a good day in the office, ha. Woke up at 7am and watched some drum videos and also finally I could grasp a little bit more of the half time shuffle, ha. But still... I've got a long long way to go.

Anyways, that aside. It's really a great feeling to be in church. I miss the days of being on staff, being around in the office doing work and serving my Pastors. It was just good to have been able to do it even if it's just for 1 day. Like King David said, one day in Your courts, is better than a thousand in the world.

Oh yeah, was talking to Liane just now while I wanted to post and we said that Indonesian's have really powerful worship songs. Wells, if you didn't know, Captivated is from true worshippers, which is from the Church, Jakarta Praise Community Church. They also did songs like, Amazing, Alleluia to Christ and the new song, Hati Hamba which actually means Servant's Heart.

Was just reading through the lyrics while 41st day was doing soundcheck and was already so impacted by it. The lyrics are more than just lyrics, it is really a revelation of one's personal journey with God. It's just super zai la.

Anyways, think that's about it for this entry, I can't wait got service later!

Growth!

Haha, been awhile since I last updated my blog, so here it goes... haha

It's been a tiring week at 'work' ha, cause been doing alot of admin work after having been nominated and chosen as the IC. Wells.. I'm just waiting for a change! But it's been quite relaxed as there's been having alot of free time as the course ends like... next week? Ha, so I'm just waiting to see what's going to happen after this course, ha.

Anyways, I'm in church now, getting the chance to stay overnight, which I have not done in ages, and I'm actually really happy to have had the chance to do so in a very very long time. To be able to serve my Pastors is such a great privilege!

Many things have been in my mind recently, about what's the current season for myself, and it's really just about growth. Wells, like Pastors shared with us before, we as Christians need to be progressive people. We need to be people who are constantly growing and moving on in God and in life. So yep, grow man grow!

It's already September, and in like 3 months, it's going to be December and the year ends, exciting year it has been. And it's just the beginning! I can't wait to see how much more God will be taking us. So to you readers out there, to the many years ahead!

Forever = Generations......

Haha, my long awaited weekly posts on my blog, ha.

Wells, if you haven't knew, my blog's only updated once a week now, it's sad I know, ha. But wells, I'm serving my term, so you can't really blame me you know, haha.

Anyways, that aside. Here's the real deal, ha. Today was just powerful. Zone F had a powerful service and Pastor Lia was preaching. The atmosphere was just sweet. It's really been a long time since we last had such a service, where everyone was just so so ministered in the presence of God.

Also the main service was good. The praise and worship, the sharing. Was just simply a blast. Through this week's service, God showed me a new thing, ha. It's really something that I've never seen before, it's like a new perspective and it really just blew me away.

You know we always speak about forever? Like it's an eternal thing right? Which is true, that forever means an everlasting thing. But God showed me that forever is that, but also it's generations. Because generations are on-going too! Meaning forever = generations! Hope you get what I mean.

Anyways, tomorrow's going to be a blast, many exciting things are going to happen, ha.

Haha, it's been a very long time since I last blogged, so to the many readers out there, here it goes. This one's for you How Teng, haha.

Today was a great day. Had CG in the morning and Nicholas was sharing with us about church growth and also he was showing us the video recording of the new Hillsong album, 'This is Our God.' Though there were many exciting things about it, what really got me was actually the song, 'Healer' it was not the lyrics, but the anointing of God the song had.

I learnt later that the worship leader for that song actually has cancer and so it was more than just a song, it really was his heart's cry, his stand and his believe. And thinking about that, I recalled that it was the same song that caught me when I was listening to the album casually while traveling. Truly, God's presence catches the heart of Man.

Moving on from that, service was also powerful. While Pastor Lia was leading worship, I saw the past. Wells, it was like a journey. I saw us in henderson, traveling to FTMS, to the current Singpost. From a church of 120 people, to a church of 3, 400. And now, to a church of the 1000s. We've really travelled and gone far haven't we?

Coming closer to our hearts, it's the youth. I remember we used to be stuck at 28 when we were in henderson, and look at us now, we're 700 over people! God's really provided for us all these years. Now, it's spiritual adoption, we need to possess it! There's just so many things in my heart that's really hard to express in words. But I hope that you who reads this will feel what I feel.

Pastor How also shared that we need to change out mentality. Let's move from hundreds, to thousands. Move from just square feet, to acres. Move from thousands of dollars to millions!

Hey all, been a long time since I last posted and since there's time, I thought I should blog alittle, ha.

It's just so weird not having church this weekend, and that all of us are either at home or hanging out with each other now. And for the army people, preparing ourselves to book in. Which I'm going for in like.... 1 hrs time?

Heard from many people that FOP on friday was good. I know it was cause we were the organising church for it. I'm just proud to be from HOGC! It's going to be an amazing year when we all look back. I can't wait for the year to end and also to be just around in church more often again!

Anyways, I'll see you all next week. Didn't get to meet many people this week, ha.

He thinks of you

Haha, I've not blogged in ages, but since I have the time, decided to do some blogging for a bit.

Came out super late yesterday, so was just rushing back home to unpack my things, and also to get some things before rushing down to church, ha. Though I reached on the dot, I was really ministered, ha.

During the worship, as we were singing 'Sing about You' God spoke to me, saying that He remembered me, ha. As I've been in camp for the past 5 and a 1/2 days it was really encouraging, also the lyrics of the song just clicked with the situation I was back in camp, ha. It was just a great session.

Anyways, in about 2 months, the course will end, and I'll finally be able to go back to shift work, ha. Wells, it's not that great, but wells, it allows me to be in church more often, so... yeah! Haha.

Haha, decided that I should do a little update before I go to bed.

Wells, I just booked out on Saturday, so thus I can't blog as often I used to. But just wanted to say that things are doing good, ha. Even though I'm still adapting to camp life, I'm just trusting God to make the way.

But through camp, God's been there. Songs have just been bursting in my heart, ha. And those songs are really encouraging for myself and gives me strength to last in camp.

Though I missed a super powerful meeting on friday... But it was due to camp, so it was kinda hard to get out of it. Wells, it's a timing of where you need to do what you need to do and not worry about anything else, ha.

Anyways, today's AE was good, ha. There were many parents and I got to spoke to Yakuza's mother and played with his younger brother, ha. Also got to talk to Nadine's Mom for a bit, wells, Samantha and I kinda convinced Nadine's mom to get her a mac saying how much better it was then windows, so our power kinda gave a push for it. So Nadine's going to get her mac soon!

Oh yeah, I mentioned about camp, wells, that aside, but things have been different. I mean there's an internal change, ha. I feel more joy again, it's an internal joy. A joy that just cannot be explained, ha. Maybe because my heart's not as bobbed down as it was before, ha. I just want to serve God and be in the house of God, that's all I want now, ha.

Lastly, been also dreaming about people recently, ha. It's quite funny, cause it doesn't only happen when I sleep, but even when I nap in camp, ha. My heart just longs to be in Your House. So open the doors, open the gates God!

Convictions, Idealism... stand on what you really want

Woah, yesterday was a super powerful day.

We had AE weekend, meaning that Pastor How was sharing with us about the importance of school, that it's not about just attending school, but it's about loving to learn. That since birth, we all have the desire to learn, just that many of us aren't brought up that way. So from us, the next generation's going to be different, many geniuses will be brought up.

After that, some of us had discipleship class with Pastor and it was simply.... woah..... We watched Lions for Lambs, and it was really a great movie. Wells, it's alot of dialouge, but yet the actors did it really well. Tom Cruise can really act, he doesn't just look good!

Convictions, idealism. It's so important for us. We need to be a people of convictions, that we stand and hold on to it, no matter what life tells us. Idealism, that we hold on to our ideals, beliefs that even though it might never happen, we end the race knowing that at least we tried. We need to hang on, hang on to our convictions and idealism, even though when things don't seem to be going our way.

Also was talking to Ivan at his place last night and we were just talking. Talking about church, about people, and about what Pastor How shared during discipleship class, ha. It was really a powerful session and I shared with him about how I got a revelation from God while praying in camp. So it goes like this;

I'm re-coursed. If you don't know what that means, wells it's basically, I'm going back to do training instead of duties. And it really was getting very frustrating as I felt that I shouldn't even be there in the first place. Thus I was really praying to God to help me get out of it and also was praying for some of the guys.

When suddenly God reminded me, that whatever the Enemy meant for evil, God always turns it around for good. It really blew my mind away as I began to see that no matter how tough the problem is, or the circumstance is. God is always there, just that we don't see it. Why? Because we are too focused on the problem, too focused on getting it solved in our own way that we never really look upward and see that God's hand is already in it and that a work is being down in the background.

Oh how I hope that you would receive that into your heart. That no matter what you are going through, stand strong, stand on your convictions, hold on to your idealism. Because if you don't, you will never be who you are at this point of time. The promise and the potential, it's fickle. Meaning that it can disappear without you ever noticing it.

Am really feeling for this... Stand people. Fight the fight of faith. Run and finish the race. Don't give up just because things aren't as good as they seem, because at the end of the day, are you really happy with what you have become? Lost of idealism, lost of convictions, that you compromise and no longer fight. That is such a sad thing, and when that comes, you'll look back and think, 'what might have been, if only I held on 1,2,3,5,10 years ago?'

Stay strong people, attack life! Don't live a life of regret, but faith and success. I hope you get what I'm trying to put across!

Haha, it's been a very long time since I last blogged, but wells... it's for obvious reasons, ha. Wells, if you didn't know, I got re-coursed and yes, I am back to a stay-in personnel all the way till september, ha. So I won't be seeing you guys much on a weekday as much anymore.... which is really saddening, ha

Anyways, got home at 9pm, after showering, was just watching videos all the way, ha. Was watching some anime, and after that a documentary on Krav Maga. Woah... it's some interesting but yet scary stuff, ha. Wells, if you want to know more, please type Krav Maga at Youtube and you will be able to find it, ha.

That aside, was reminded about some stuff while praying in camp, ha. Was praying for church and some of the guys, when God reminded me that whatever Satan meant for evil, God will always turn it around for good. So though things seem dark at the moment, joy will come in the morning! So yeah, hang on people.

I can't wait for tomorrow, service's going to be good, but... need to go to the army market to buy stuff... crap

Self-worth

Haha, thought of doing a little post since there's quite a lot of time in hand, haha.

Pastor How spoke something that was very personal for me, ha. He said that we don't need to prove ourselves. Meaning, that we don't need to prove who we are, just know that you and me, we are sons and daughters of God.

And no matter how bad or how well we do, that fact never does change. What you can do, have done or are doing, will never change the fact that Christ died for you. He died for you when you were clueless about life, when you weren't even born yet, Christ had already died for you. Tell me, how great is that love? A love that is unconditional for you and me.

The church is really going on to 2.0, especially with all the processes and also the charts coming up. But at the end of the day, we must never forget that we are God's children first, before any possible thing that we can ever do for Him. The greatest price and love has already been given, and that was on the cross, 2,000 years ago.

I remember during one of the services, God asked me, will you still be around if you are just a member of church? Meaning that I'm no longer serving in Church, but just attending it. I said yes, and I felt that something in my heart changed. That titles are not important, because they are given, but substance is something that lasts till eternity. So think about it, which is more important?

Also during today's worship God just reminded me about this and I was really blessed and ministered by God. Though some of us were dying because we were catching Munich at Ivan's place till about 6am? Worse still, we've not completed the movie yet! We decided to sleep, cause there was going to be service in a few hours time, haha.

Today was really a good day, ha. But thinking about that? Isn't everyday a good day, just having God with you is more than enough already!

Tomorrow's the day, haha
Wells, what I'm referring to is the stay over at Ivan's place, ha. Wells it's going to be cool because it's like one of our last few stay overs at Ivan's place with ernest before he enlists this coming wednesday.

Ah neh, I'm going to miss you man, wells, your hair's not the main factor, HAHA!
After he comes out after 2 weeks, it'll be back to hanging out on weekends again, haha.

Also, am really just looking forward to watch munich, haha

Wells that aside, was just talking to Jian Ming on the train on the way home, and he was asking if I visited Pastor Josh Kelsey's blog. We really are an amazing church, ha. Maybe you don't feel it, because you are in it. But sometimes, we should just step out and imagine ourselves in the shoes of another person. What we have here is really different, it's really a prototype, where there aren't many like us. So for us, we really must treasure what we have here.

Was thinking about this and one lyric came to my mind;

It's true isn't it? We really are that generation, if only you would believe, God would be able to do so much more. Let's be a strong church, that's creative and moves like an army! That's the church that Pastors want us to be, so let us rise and be that church!

Haha, had a good day today.
Wells, I had zone meeting today, wells just a side note, I'm in C zone! Haha
What an honour and privilege it is to be there, with so many that have been church for the longest of time.

That aside, dinner time with Ivan, Sean, Hong Hwee and Elgin was good. Wells, we talked about many stuff, but it's not the usual stuff where we talked about church, but just had a talk about martial arts, and we were talking about mixed martial arts, krav maga, etc. Talking about how deadly they are from which we suddenly progressed to Israel.

We were talking about how powerful they were as a nation, that they are the only nation that has never lost a single war. They are also a very effective nation that clamps down on corruption immediately once it's detected. Cool eh? We also talked about the great generals that they had and one of them was, Moshe Dayan. Wells, he's one amazing guy, more than just that he won the war that he fought, but when he was entering the gates of Jerusalem, he got out of his tank and went over there by foot.

When questioned, why did he walk there instead of taking the tank, he simply replied, "If my God entered Jerusalem on a donkey's back, how can I enter this place on a tank?"

Wells with that we kept talking about these kind of things all the way home, ha. It was really a guys' talk thing, haha. Wells, I'm looking forward to saturday, we're going to watch munich! Wells, it's about the munich olympics killings of the jewish athletes and what Israel kinda did to get revenge. It's going to be an exciting movie, looking forward to watch it!

Anyways, my posting's out, but yet it seems uncertain, wells, I'm still praying, because tomorrow's my last day. Hoping and praying for the best.

A short note.....

Haha, an update, which I have not done in the past few days....

Wells, things have been going good, I'm still at an 8-5, but tomorrow, I'm going to know the full details of what's going to happen, but no matter what happens, trust God in it, faith and success!

Anyways, have been talking to a few people and realised that half a year has already passed! But the amazing thing is... the last half a year, felt like 2007 compressed into it! Wells, think about it, so many things have happened, events, changes in church, etc. We really are running at a faster pace in going to HOGC 2.0!

Watched 'Wanted' with Ivan, Ernest, Sean, Hong Hwee on monday, it was not a bad movie, other than the flowery use of vulgarities, which was quite irritating. The plot was actually interesting. But like Ivan said, it's mainly a guys' movie.

That aside, I'm just looking forward to the next half of the year. What's going to happen? Especially with the re-structure becoming official soon. It's really going to make us more focused in reaching out to people and their families!

Anyways, that's about it for today, gotta sleep, got to be up early tomorrow. Nights all!

Ha, today was a great day!

Above just having service with Pastor Josh Kelsey, it was discipleship class with Pastor Lia! It's been a long time since I was last involved in a class, and it was just a great privilege to have been invited to one!

The worship team was super funny, we had a nonsensical session, where we were all just disturbing one another. Wells, we really are a team that has come far, from the beginnings in Henderson till now. It's really been one incredible journey!

But wells, that aside, really learnt alot about myself through the class today, ha. We need to be self-motivated people, which is so true because only we can motivate ourselves!

Wells, also met up with Nadine and Sinfei, ha. Was just talking to them and they asked me about my testimony, ha. Shared it with them and was really refreshed, ha. It was really deep sharing, about my journey with God, things that I've learnt, etc. Then Nadine also started to share abit about her past, ha. I was just really happy and glad talking to them, I can really see both of them going far in God!

Above disciple class, talking to the both of them really made my day today, ha. Also was traveling home with Ivan and co was also good. Where else can you find true friends except the house of God?

Soccer's starting soon, wells I hope that Spain wins, but Germany might prove otherwise.... Nights!

Hey hey! Ha, wells, haven't blogged in the past days, but things are amazing....

Went out with Ivan on Monday night to do some training to prepare him for his napfa. Wells, it's really important if you are a guy, because if you pass napfa, it equals to.... 2 months off from your NS service of 2 years! So yeah, gotta pass, gotta pass, gotta pass... It was good, though after that my knees hurt due to a past injury, but it's just a great feeling helping people, making others successful. (I will still help, so just let me know when you need to ;))

Went for a medical appointment today, though there wasn't any results and since I had time to kill, I asked my dad out for lunch, ha. It was just good time spent with my dad, talking to him, about work, about the family, my siblings, etc. Wells, my family's not one that really talks, so these kind of one of ones are really precious ya know... Also I've spiritually adopted my family, I'm going to see them saved! God show me Your way!

Wells, that aside, I've been really feeling different recently. It's like I just want to make the effort to love people and just talk to people when I can. I don't know how to put it, it's like what Pastor Joakim shared during schools' seminar, when you are close and connected to God, your love will overflow. It's really how I've been feeling recently, it's like when I see people, there's just compassion for them. I think it's so true, that love for people is so so important. I think regardless of how we are doing in our lives, love for people must never be compromised. It's not about what you feel, but just doing it, then feel it. Like what Pastors always share with us, we don't feel first, then do, we do first, then feel!

With so many things happening, I need my 8 - 5! God, open it! I see it in the fourth dimension! But I still trust You regardless for the outcome. Ha, I know it sounds weird, but I'm also in a weird circumstance regarding camp, ha. Ask me and I'll share it with you in person.

Also prayer meetings have been amazing, it's really a time where all of us come together and have one heart and one mind. I believe that we as HOGC will be like that with our Pastors and our Leaders! Oneness in the body of Christ.

Let's grow in Love, because Love of God has become our calling. To love God and to love people, with that, we'll love life!

The Next Phase

Life is just getting more and more exciting isn't it?

Church has just gone through major changes and it's super cool. We are really getting focused and at the same time preparing ourselves for the incredible growth that's coming. 1,400. Imagine that, 1,400 people in service at the end of the year. And what's more, is that this 1,400 people are people who are spiritual. Thinking about that I'm just so excited to see what comes at the end of the year!

Wells things have surely been amazing. We are still staying focused on youth, but now with the added dimension that Pastor How shared, we really are going to get our parents and families saved! Spiritual adoption, it's super cool and important.

When we adopt them, it means they are in our hearts, it's no longer just doing it, but you do it, because you care. You are not friendly, but you are a friend, and you are sincere about them. Not just as individuals, but like Pastor shared, about their family, their household. That what matters to them, also matters to you.

Also been reading the 4th dimension book and it's super powerful, really learnt alot about seeing things in the 4th dimension and pulling them into the 3rd dimension, which is the world that we live in. Writing them down specifically and praying for them specifically too. I think when you really pray like that, you can feel your faith increase and you can really see it, it's like it's incubated in you. You are pregnant with what you pray and you're just waiting for it to be birth!

Talked to one of my good friends for quite a bit today, was just talking about church, the future, about people and just sharing my heart and deep thoughts with them. And we both also agreed that we need to be honest with our leaders! I don't know how to put it, but I think we need to be able to come to a point, where our leader is our friend, but yet we respect them. I hope you know what I mean, cause I think sometimes it's a little hard to understand that point.

It's a place where we can be honest, sharing with them our real thoughts and feelings. Not those that we have thought through about whether we should or should not, but really just being honest and transparent with them. And also having fun with them too!

Just thought of this while writing this down. We really are going to the next place, phase, level. It's just exciting to see how God moves us. I love my life, ha!

Today was a good day. Pastor How shared with us the next phase of our church and it was simply mind-blowing. Wells won't be writing much about it here, because you have to attend service to find out more, so please attend tomorrow's service at 3 - 5pm!

Wells, one thing that Ivan blogged about is really true and I think even Pastor How shared about it today. And that is that we need to know who we are and what we are good at, and not lose them. Meaning that we stay focused on our strengths and use them. Not saying that we don't bother about our weaknesses, but that we should stay focused.

Wells, been really missing people recently, ha. Wells, it's quite weird but it's like even though I just met them hours ago, hours later, I'm already missing their company, ha.

Ha, not sure what I'm blogging about today, think it's time for me to go, I'll try to blog a proper entry another time, see ya!

Excites me, makes me happy

Haha, I love my life. Though previously, I've always been complaining about camp and about my frustrations about it, but I've finally come to terms with it, ha.

I've learnt that it's really not about how much time you spend, but rather what you make out of it. I think we hear this alot, but only when we put it into practice, then we see the effects of it.

Anyways, had a super fun day yesterday just hanging out with Ivan, Jordan, Nicholas Luo, Nadine, Sin Fei and Chew Theng. There wasn't anything special in what we were doing, but just being with them was already super fun. We crapped alot and just had fun with one another!

Also, today was good. Went for prayer meeting today and was really refreshed. Though in the beginning I was quite unfocused as I was doing sound, ha. Which was something that I've not done in ages! But still it was fun, kinda miss the times I used to touch the soundboard back in Henderson, ha.

But during the last 20 minutes of the prayer meeting, when I decided to just abandon the soundboard and focus on God, God really spoke. Was just praying for the church and just crying to God that the 1,000 of us need to be really strong. And that we'd have the touch of God in our lives, where when we see our life, we can see God's hand in it!

I really can't wait for this week's service because Pastors are really going to share many things with us, about the next phase of the church and about Korea. It's really going to be powerful! Also realised that many things have been happening in church and that we've really been growing recently. Think it's like what Pastors shared, that when we really seek God, things just happen. It's like God's literally building the church recently.

I can't wait for the future, when we are all free from PO, from army, from school. It's really that time when the church is going to fly, to beyond the thousands. I'm just so excited. I really love my life, even with the ups and downs in it!

Ha, wrote this down in camp after smsing Ivan back in camp. It was really mind-blowing, because as I wrote, the writings became personal revelations for me, ha.

"God, come let Your presence be with me, wherever I go. I want to have Faith and Success. Faith in You, that is unwaivering, that stands and trust in You completely, which through that success comes. Because success comes from the Giver and only when we are focused on You, can success come and that we become effective for You to use!

Confidence, that we know who we are in You, that no one judge us, but only You can, because You have called us as Your children and Your people whom will impact and change this world for You. And You say it's already done!

Prayer, that Your hand moves before we do. That it's already birthed in the spirit and a vision of it given, then we do practical things to attain that vision birthed!

Audacity, fight and persistence, that no matter what happens, we hang on. Holding on to what You have told us and shown us."

It was really a prayer actually, as I can't really pray in camp, so the best alternative, is writing down my prayers, ha. Envisioning them as I write them down. Describing in details what I see with my spiritual eyes, that we go to the thousands, rising up many leaders with HOGC ingrained in them.

I am so looking forward to attend one of those prayer meetings in church that I've heard so much about. 4 - 5pm, 8 - 9pm. I'm really going to attend one of those whenever I can.

We are no longer just doing the ministry, but we are tapping on God, while doing the ministry. That God gives us the strength, the provision, the vision of His plans and His ways, and we do accordingly to His ways instead of how we would do it.

It's a really exciting phase that we are going through, let's flow with the church.

Ha, remembered the lyrics of this song and the bridge was one of the most powerful points for me;

"See now, the King of glory

It was very funny about how it popped up to me, it was in service and we were worshiping with this song when we came to the bridge and the lyrics became like a image to me, ha... It spoke about so many things in just that short verse.

Focus on God, which is what we need to do. And now that we're saved, loving God and spreading the love of God has become our calling, surrendering to God all that we are and that we are His forever. It was so so powerful when it became like that. It's a personal revelation! Ha.

Also, read Ivan's blog and was really impacted. What is the fear of God? That's also something I want to have a revelation about. Like Ivan shared, it's some thing we all can read about in the Bible and in books, or even in sermons. But it's really different when it comes to a personal revelation, because you finally understand what it truly means!

"God, open my eyes and ears to hear what You have to say!"

Lastly, it was good hanging out in church abit today. Though there weren't many people around, but still it was good. Benny is super cute, just hang out with him for most of today, ha. Just love hanging out with the Zone F people, Benny, Leona, Jordan, etc. They really do remind us of ourselves back in the Henderson days.

I believe that Zone F will really grow, not just in numbers, but in spirit as well. Having Pastor Lia and their Leaders there, the anointing and DNA will be passed on to them. And I know that they will run with it, the next generation rising.

Also been hearing and reading many things from people. I'm excited seeing and hearing that people are rising up. It's really the season! Beginnings of leadership and many will rise this year, the potential that you have is there, but are you willing to do the work that is needed to unleash that potential?

Keep rising people, the year is yet to end. End it with a blast!

Ha, been writing much back in camp and it's been good. I have finally found my 'space' in camp, ha.

Wells basically its a place where I can spend time on my own with God in camp and it's like what the Bible says, the 'Secret Place'. It's a place of power and presence of God, a place where we receive revelation from the Living Word of God. I just went back to read proverbs and through it, received a deep and personal revelation, and of course wrote it down in my journal. Like Pastors always shared with us, when we receive a revelation, we must always write it down because we don't want to end up forgetting it!

I realise that the problem always lies with us. Sometimes we think, "God, why aren't You speaking?" or "God, where are You in this?" But if you really look carefully, God has always been there. It's just that we were so blind to see it. During those times, all we see is mainly the problem, and we just can't bring ourselves to see upwards. Even though we might be faithfully praying, but we lack the faith for the prayer. And when we just give up regarding the problem, all of a sudden you see God's hand in it and His hand moving in the problem!

Even for myself, I'm still learning and also growing from faith to faith. Knowing God in deeper and more personal manners, also really growing to love the Word of God and prayer all over again. And also, accountability! It's something I think we always need to have and also something that we need to have in our lives, because I think without accountability, we lose control over ourselves. Let us grow to be people who are accountable to our leaders, not just informing, but really accountable, meaning we always check before we do something! I want to grow to be more accountable too!

Love life! And attack it! Don't let it take you down, but rise rise rise!

Values....

It's been a great day today, wells, it's got nothing to do with camp cause I went back to camp for 'training' which as usual, didn't happen, haha.

Service was great, Pastor Tan preached a great work, sharing about values and the cool part, the values' origins are from the very values that God gave His people thousands of years ago, the 'Ten Commandments'! It just shows that God's plans and ways are way way higher than ours, and that His word endures forever!

Also, God reminded me about some things that Pastor How shared before quite a long time ago. 'We are first a Christian, before we are ministers or anything else we are doing for God.' Through that, it just clicked with Pastor Tan's sermon, that our lives must be right and in order. Our relationship with God must be right and that we depend on God rather than just our own ability, which many of us have and do. So we need to have values in our lives, because it's going to be that which lasts!

I think one thing God really reminded me also is that, 'What happens if you are not doing anything in church even after army?' No longer on ministry, but just a member in church. Would you still be loyal and committed to church? Would you still do the things you do? And after really staying presence of God, I told God, yes. All over again, even if it just means being with You only.

Just got to press on! Let the values be imprinted in our hearts!

Ha, yesterday was super crazy, ha. Was really tired from camp and didn't really get to talk to Ivan, just went crash and slept, haha.

Wells that aside, was really rested after that and just hanged out in church, observing rehearsals and hearing sound too, ha. Missing the times where I'm back in the team, but wells, we got to do what we got to do, ha. So I'm going to stay in serving my national service time for the remaining 1 year plus before I get my freedom again

Anyways, been really catching up with many people the past week. Great to see that many of them have progressed and are still hanging on in this race, ha. Just enjoy catching up with people, it's time like this where you can really share your heart with them.

Secondary schools' camp in a few hours time! It's going to be good! Please do not miss out man, I so want to go, but wells, like I said, got tot serve my term first, haha. Also Pastor Tan's coming this week, so service is really going to be power-packed and other than that, the most important people are coming back too! Pastors! Church is going to be normal again, haha!

Oh yeah, something came up to my mind when I was catching up with everyone this past week. I realise that the longer that we have been in church, above just seeing how much the church has grown, for us, it's really no longer us who live anymore. Because whatever we are doing now, actually affects people indirectly. You might not feel it, but you've got no idea how much you have in your hands, ha. So like Pastors shared with us long ago, we really need to live a life for OTHERS!

Been a long long time since I last blogged, haha

Red Rain was amazing, they really have gone to another level as a whole band, and also even the operations were super zai! The lights were like .... woah.... if you were there, you know what I mean ;)
You could just feel a buzz in the air during the concert, but just above the buzz, was personally also ministered during the concert, there was a just a sweet presence of God present during the concert.

Also seeing Ivan and Joanne share their life story brought back so many memories, ha. Wells, been saying this alot in my entries, we really have been growing!!! Ha. Anyways, got to catch up with some people from E Zone as some of us from G Zone went to T3 with them. And it was really good, just enjoyed myself talking to them and also talking to the new people too! Haha

Lessons with David Pfansiel was good! He's really a very very good drummer, ha. Learnt many things from him, and am drained mentally, ha. Wells, had a hectic day in camp yesterday, super tired and now am at Ivan's place, just talking and blogging, ha. Just enjoying the fellowship and the company of a really good friend, haha.

Anyways, I really miss Pastors, church is so so weird without them around. Pastors really rock, was smsing them back in camp the other day telling them that it was great to have them come back from Korea. They really have sown alot in our lives, like pretty much Ivan said, they are the ones who taught us what we know! Ha.

Lastly, church camp's coming up, it's going to super super exciting. Please do go for it if you can! I so wanna go, but I'm stuck cause of my own 'camp' haha. Can't blog properly today, stoning already, ha. Till next time, see ya all soon!

Ha, zone F's cool man. Love hanging around with them. Looking at them, just reminds me of how it was back in henderson days when we were younger then, haha. Yes, it's true, we were all young once! Haha

Jordan's a super cute and funny guy, but really he's got such purity, it's super cool to hang out with him, haha.

Many thoughts, but hard to pen down, ha. Practised drums for about 2 hours just now, mentally drained, like Ivan shared, ha. It's like a headless chicken, hahaha.

Walk on man, that's something we all need to always do, discouraged, but don't stay discouraged, ha. Always keep the faith, remember, its' a marathon, no 100m sprint, don't start running super fast, but end up dying half-way!

Pace yourself, run from check-point to check-point. For us, it's from revelation to revelation, so love God's word! It's going to be something that sustains you in this walk with God!

Remember back to basics! Can't emphasize it enough, like Pastor How shared with us before, the bigger the church, the smaller we must feel. Meaning that no matter how professional we become, we must always always step down back to the basics!

Ha, I just sent Garrett and email which I've been dying to send 2 weeks ago, but it never really did happen cause whenever I wanted to type it, I became stuck in thought, haha.

Wells, Red Rain's coming and I'm really excited, I can't wait to see what they have in stored! But also, I can't wait to see the people come! It's going to be a sea of people, like the chinese proverb, 'People Mountain, People Sea'. Ha, if you don't know what that is, please do look for me ;)

Just love being around church people, was with them, playing basketball yesterday and it really made my day. The exercise aside, cause we played seriously crap basketball, but it was just the fellowship and talking that was enjoyable.

Also read through some blogs and it seems that the current phrases are, 'Giving glory to God' and 'Refocus'. They are cool phrases alright, and yet within these 2 phrases are full of depth in them.

Like Ivan shared, that we need to live a life that gives glory to God, cause honestly, we really are nothing without God and so... Let's live a life that glorifies God, that what we do is no longer about us and just completely about Him. That's really one the things God spoke to me about during zone F service last week, haha.

Focus too! Do what you need to do and dont be distracted, cause it's just so easy to divert ain't it? Stay on the narrow road, so stay focused! Ha, we all need wake up calls sometimes don't we?

Half a year's almost gone and many of us have really achieved much haven't we? I just cannot wait to see how the year's going to end and what else does God have in stored for us!

Home Grown word, which speaks so presently and individually for all of us!

Today's services were simply a blast. Pastors both preached a very different word for the services, but they were still amazing. Zone F had their first ever service in the main auditorium! It sure was exciting, but Pastor Lia went down to the basic, of loving God and knowing Him. That we don't live from event to event, but from revelation to revelation. Personally also received a revelation from God about my situations and next phase in my marathon with God.

And the usual service at 5pm, where Pastor How preached about Confidence/ Faith. It's so true that in our society there aren't many confident people. A society where if you don't meet the standards, you are outcasted or put aside. But we can be always confident in one thing, and that is God. Once we are confident in God, we will be confident people! A generation of God-loving, confident people!

Pastors were also sharing about their experience over at Korea and it was great, above just the event, I think what I was most most impacted by, was actually the fact that so so many of them are still around ever since the church started like, 50 years ago! It's so cool man, like Pastor Lia said, a generation growing old together. And when we look back, we can see the 'Journey of a Dream' and all the different points that God has taken us!

Just had a really powerful day today, God really came through and spoke to me today. Without God, I think many of us wouldn't have been who we are now. Can you imagine yourself without God or HOGC? ....... Cause I can't! HOGC is us, and we are HOGC.

Anyways, ending off. Here's a quote for thought:

Reading's so cool, ha.
Been reading much in camp and it's been a cool read recently, ha.

Read this off a book and was really impacted, to think of it, it's something that we kinda struggle with daily isn't it? 'Lord I confess I don't like it, but please do not give in to me. Just wait, Lord. And I will give in to Thee.' that's what we need to do, to know and see the will of God, understanding His heart as well. I so want to be at that level of intimacy with God too!

That's what I want to do! Wrote it down cause was really blown by it, ha.
To be like how Pastors and many of the leaders are!

Pastors and the senior staff are coming back soon, church's going to be normal again, ha. Was super weird without them around, haha.

Mixed Emotions.....

Haha, was reading Ivan's post, and am just so so ....... don't know how to put it in words, ha.

Today was amazing, though Pastors weren't around, still the service was great. The video that Pastor chose for us to watch was simply powerful, sharing with us the importance of not only prayer, but rather, about how we should come to God and also know our position in Christ. There's so so many things to learn from the video, I sure hoped that you caught it too!

Anyways, today was simply amazing, when Dominic came up and took over after the video, his sharing was really powerful, above the relevance with the sermon. What I was most impacted by was his honesty. What he shared, wasn't just knowledge, but his personal revelation and encounters of putting what was taught into practice! Truly, there's a touch of Pastors in the senior leaders of church. It's heart of God church, what you see is what you get! There's nothing between the lines, so stop trying to mis-interpret!

Also, heard that Zone F had a power, powerful service. Was hanging out in office after service, when everyone else was rushing off for mothers' day dinners/ celebrations. Wells, I am going to celebrate too! But just that not so soon, haha. Anyways, that aside, back to the main topic. Read what Ivan shared through his blog, and really was just so touched. That God's been faithful, always. Though there was a batch of us together, growing up, sharing our lives. Some have already left, we're sad, but we've got to move on! Like Ivan typed, we pray that the first 1000, will be strong, being really RADICAL. Not just the hype of the service, or the event.

Remembered something Pastor shared, and Dominic also shared it today. What keeps us in church? It's simply..... the..... Presence of God. Because honestly, what gets you to church, keeps you in church. if it's friends, then if they leave, you leave. But if it's God, then you'll never leave, cause God never leaves His church!

What does it mean? Wells, simply put, just picking up the guitar and worshipping God with it. Entering the Holy of Holies, without the whole band, but just simply a guitar, with a heart so hungry for God. That was what we experienced alot back in henderson, ha. Let's really be a church that hungers for God! And be a Radical generation, like no one has seen before!

For those who are still around, I'm just glad that you're still around, ha. Though I might not talk to you often, but I do think about you guys in camp, haha. I always think about church before I sleep in camp, and people just come flooding in my mind, ha. Stay strong yo, I'll see you guys in the many many years to come. Weddings, Families, Babies. So so many things to look forward to!

Ha, everyone's been blogging, some having inspiring entries, some just having fun, ha. Wells, but one thing's for sure, I got to.. change my blog's layout! Most blog's are looking cool and also, reflecting their personality too! Haha.

Anyways, that aside, was doing duty in camp and was reminded about some songs that accompanied in camp during my BMT days. Those were powerful times, ha. Really experienced God in some incredible ways there, ha.

Anyways, one of the songs that really saw me through BMT was CHC's God of my Forever. It was really a powerful song as when I first heard it, it took me back down memory lane. All the battles fought in my walk with God, all the up times, all the down times. Times with victories with God on the mountaintops and times with defeat and re-moulding in the valleys.

Thinking of it, I'm glad I went through every moment of it. And even at points when I felt like going, I didn't! God's ways are always higher than ours! So just press on! I can't wait to experience the rest of the journey that God has in stored, the mountains and the valleys.

Just felt like saying that, remember, you're not alone. God's with you!

An amazing weekend....

Ha, read blogs back in camp, and yep. You guessed it, inspired to blog, wahaha.

It's really been an amazing week, having AI conference, which I heard that many people were touched and impacted. That God prospers those who put God first and who honour the Man and Woman of God, our Pastors! I think it's so true, we need to treat the Pastors and the Leaders right, and then, we will begin to experience God! God honours those who honour Him and our pastors and leaders are His representative!

Also was planning in camp, things that I got to do, things that I got to work on and also dreams for the future, ha. Though I've been having a headache the whole day, still planning really made me excited! I just cannot wait to see the future that God has in stored for us!

Anyways, just wanted to say, 'Devil! No weapon formed against us shall prosper! No matter how hard you try, our God is with us, His hand protects and guide us. You are too late, because we have damaged your kingdom, and grow the kingdom of God!'

Also what made the weekend amazing other than the service was the amazing conversation Ivan, Ernest and myself had on saturday night. We were talking about Henderson, and how things were in the past, and what was done that made the first batch of us strong! I really hope that you guys could just experience what we experienced. I believe it really would change your life and rever God and Pastors at a whole new level!

And lastly, it was worship team meeting on sunday. It was just great as it was my first meeting for the year! After the nation took me, I've not been able to attend any meetings. So you can guess, that meeting was real important to me, ha. I just can't wait to come back, it's going to back to basics, just alot of presence and anointing, while working on skills at the same time!

The future's going to be amazing...

Ha, back to blogging for a bit.

Heard that the AI conference was great. Am just so excited at the thought of that. That through the sharing, seeds sown and people start to see that God is a God who prospers His people! And it puts the saying, "As poor as a church mouse" to shame!

It's going to be an exciting weekend, everything's going to build up to the grand finale on pledge day, I seriously am just waiting in anticipation to see God move the hearts of man. To give and build this church like how Pastors and the leaders have been doing.

Because we're building not just a church, but a house of the heavens! A place where every individual comes and touch God, a place where heaven comes down to earth and a place where angels come too!

Just 1 and a half day more to go, saturday's going to be a blast! Can you feel the mountains tremble? The gates of heaven are opening!

Been dying to blog in camp, but wells, due to obvious constrain, that had to wait and here I am back to blogging, wahaha.

Wells, things have been better in camp, rather I've learnt how to 'enjoy' camp. Wells, it's quite hard to explain, but was reminded about what Pastor How shared with us, that if our environment cannot change, then we got to. So since I can't change the fact that I'm still on shift work, then I just got to enjoy it till 8 - 5 opens then, ha.

I think one thing we all need to do, is that we need to enjoy our lives. Enjoy where we are at, of course not losing sight of the vision ahead, but yet, be happy at where you are at, at where God has placed you. Like Pastor How shared before, that we are happy with our progress, but never satisfied. Because there are always great things ahead for us! So as for me, it's the same, hahaha.

Was also talking to Darren that day back in camp and he said something that really made an impact to my perception about army. Is that maybe, just maybe, it's God's way to tell us to forget about ministry for this season, and focus on Him all over again. Thinking about that, sometimes it's so true, that we hold on to what is in our hands so tightly that God is unable to move for us.

So yep, I'm not holding on to ministry so tightly anymore, as in for this season. But I'm still holding on to my weekends! I need my weekends to be secured so that I can still be in church on the important days! God, open the 8 - 5! But regardless of what happens, my faith and trust in You will not waver.

Yeah, it's been a more 'enjoyable' time in camp, after my mentality has changed, ha. God's always good, in your valleys or in your mountain tops, God has always been there. It's just that we're so blind to not seeing it!

Ha, been having many thoughts in camp.

Have you ever felt like you are with a group of people, but yet you feel like you're not there? Think everyone feels that way sometimes, and I realise that it's because you're not being yourself! Because you are not yourself, you got to put on 'yourself' when you are different groups of people. And when everyone is together, you got no idea which 'self' to put on.

I think one thing for us, it's just about being simple. Being who you really are, not who people expect you to be. I think sometimes when we keep thinking about people's expectations of us, instead of helping us, it rather pressures us. Not that pressure is bad, but don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself.

We just got to focus, focus on God and also what God has placed in our care. I think, it's really about having undivided attention, attention that will not be distracted from God. Looking at the leaders, they are people who are really focused, and also people of; 'what you see is what you get' that's really an important point to note too.

For myself, it's really another level to rise up to. Like Pastor How shared, we need to be real. Real people and not people who are just friendly. But friends to people. Don't know how to phrase my thoughts properly, but just felt that.

Happy Birthday Pastor Lia! Today's the official birthday of Pastor Lia and there's still many more to come!

Wasn't feeling well yesterday, but still because it was a day off, still went out to spend time with some of the guys yesterday. Was firstly with Ivan and some of the B zone leaders and regulars. It was a super funny experience as we were just talking loudly in a public place, though there were people who told us to quiet down, but wells... it's a public place, ha.

Caught 'Forbidden Kingdom' and it was a funny movie, ha. Imagine this, you're transported to ancient China to deliver a magical staff to... The Monkey King. And everyone's supposedly speaking in mandarin and suddenly, you realise that they can speak English too! Yeah, it was super funny, ha.

Anyways, but it was just great to be around church people. I think other than just doing our quiet time to grow, sometimes it's also about the people we hang out with, ha. I'm not saying that quiet time is not important, but we've got to be wise in choosing our friends and the people we hang out with.

Like Pastor How shared, 'Your friends determine who you are.' that is so so true. So who do you like to hang out with? Ha.

Anyways after that went to spend time with Ernest, Ee Loo, Chew Theng, Sean, Nadine and other people too. It was good too, as spent most of the time talking to Ernest, ha. It's was a time where you hang out and just enjoy the company of people you're in.

Anyways, don't have much today, ha. Just thought about the people I hang out with, ha. Choose your friends.... See ya all, ha!

Ha, read many people's blog and am really inspired to blog too! Ha.

Wells, couldn't attend Pastor Lia's birthday celebration due to 'work' but through the vibes that I got through reading blogs and talking to ernest and sean, it must have been awesome!

I think one special thing about HOGC is that we're more than just a church. I know that there are like 400+ churches around in Singapore alone, but what is it that makes us stay in this one? I think for that answer, it would have appeared in the celebration today. We are FAMILY.

Pastors are not just our leaders, but they are our spiritual parents, always looking out for us, spotting the potential in us and growing us to be the man and woman that we can be. The leaders also are not just people who lead us, but really look out for us, correcting us when we have made a mistake, teaching us what to do and what not to.

So for us, we can be honest with them. Because you are part of the family and a family cares for every individual, no matter what you do or have done. A family will always be willing to hear things out, and even correct you because it's not about the image/ face of the family, but it's for you alone. I think that there's a mindset that we have to change, and that is... discipleship is... good!

Speaking on family, I think that's why this year's building fund's theme is, 'building dreams' because dreams can only be built in a family. Whereareas in an organisation, it would be, building ambitions. Because ambitions is for self gain, pretty much like investments, but for dreams... they are for that individual's gain with no strings attached. Speaking of this, I remember an example that Pastor How shared about how Olympic atheletes are trained;

'They first invest in them by giving them the finances and resources, and the atheletes will train hard to make it into the team. But even if they don't make it, they don't demand that the 'failed' atheletes pay back.'

I think for us it's also the same. Pastors have sowed so much in us and have never expected anything in return. But why do we do so? Because we are grateful, knowing that without them, we will never be who we are today. So for you out there, let's be grateful people, to our Pastors and our leaders. They are our family and a family stands together. So join us, I know that you won't regret it!

Ha, been reading for most of the day at 'work' and was really impacted by somethings that I read.

Wells, the book that I was reading was the all famous book, 'The Unquenchable Worshipper' by Matt Redman. Here's what I got;

'And so, too out of what's stored up in our hearts we sing and serve and live.'

Thinking about that, isn't it true??? All our actions are subconciously affected by what's been stored in our hearts?

We contact those who... have a place in our hearts. We love those who have captivated our hearts. We live according to what's in our hearts. So yeah, if everyone worked on their heart, I think we would be able to do so much more!

Attended combined service and it was great, really felt the presence of God and was really refreshed by it. The touch of God was just simply... amazing. Pastor was sharing with us about generosity and speaking of that, it's really something from the heart.

It's about giving and having no expectancy of returns, not like the way investments work. It's about sowing, regardless whether you'd reap or not. So yeah, we got to be a generous generation. Not just with our finances, but with our love! Let's really all love at a God level this year, like what Pastor How shared!

Lastly, just a post to someone out there, keep going man. God never shortchanges His people. All things work for His plan, even stoppages or breaks. So keep hanging on friend, you can do it!

Remember one thing Pastor Lia shared with us about this song, and that is when you sing it, it's really a time where you come back to the heart of worship again.

A time to re-focus, back on our true love, our first love. Remember Pastor always sharing with us, we need to always remember the Giver, not the gift. The Lord of the work and not the work of the Lord.

I am so so looking forward to service tomorrow, I can't wait to be there to experience God. Please please please, give me the time off! God I believe that You will open the way!!!!

Yeah, just wanted to write this out, ha. The song's really stuck in my head and my heart now, ha. Am listening to it while typing too, hope you can feel the excitement that I'm feeling as I just type this!

Hmmmm..... think, think, think

Ha, blogging in church, am using Elgin's laptop since I don't have mine, ha.

Gotta be back at work tomorrow, meaning... I'm going to miss the weekend because of it. But thank goodness I managed to talk to my 'manager' about it and thus I'll be able to make it on saturday! But still... it's sad that I'm going to miss out on sunday... and the exciting stuff that's going to happen!!! Really want to be able to do something too! Not just see, but rather participate.

Anyways, that aside was again thinking about stuff while walking around in church, ha. Think I've got tendency to think too much, ha. That's why it's always good to hang out around with people, keeps your mind off thinking, you get what I mean?

Ha....Just felt that we really need to come up to the next level, ha. Like really really go up the next level, ha. Remember Pastor shared during vision weekend that the Church is moving to the next level of being HOGC 2.0. Wells, above that just being the Church's vision, I think we must also be people who take it and run with it. Like Pastor How shared, that it's not just for the church, but it's for very individual! Meaning that you, me and everyone else out there needs to come to 2.0 individually too!

Also that we need to know our strengths and work on it, but of course, we do something about our weaknesses. Not just focus on our strengths and cover-up our weaknesses! Also, was praying and thinking about God's vision for me personally back at 'work' after the service that Pastor Lia was sharing about vision and was really reminded about many past visions and dreams.

But through that saw an incredible big picture, ha. That everyone's individual dream and vision is not only for us, but combining it together it forms the big picture! The vision of church, impacting all levels of society and all walks of life! So yeah, truly no vision is too small in the eyes of God because it plays a part in the body of Christ!

So yeah, you, you and you are important! Don't think you aren't cause you've taken a place in our hearts! Hang on there!

Never fear to copy

Ha, just a short post on my thoughts. Was having dinner with Ivan and Elgin today and while traveling there was talking to Ivan about somethings, and some things he shared just reminded me about something.

We should never fear to copy our leaders. I think in our modern society, everyone and everywhere is promoting individualism and because of that, we really are in a me, myself and I society. We are uniquely made, no doubt. But I think we must also be humble enough to copy those before us. Because they must have done something right and have something right in their lives to be successful in their lives! So yeah, don't be afraid to copy!

Sometimes it's more than just asking questions and learning verbally, but I think the greatest lessons are those which are not taught, but learnt through simply observation. So next time, let's be people who observe our leaders, they are there not only to take care of us, but also to show us the way! They have walked further and longer than us, so let's be humble and learn!

Personally, I'm still learning though I've been in church for about 8 years, I'm still learning, so people... don't stop doing so! When we stop learning, we stop growing, so keep learning and you'll keep growing!

Love hanging out with Pastors and the Leaders, always treasure the times I get to spend with them. More than just seeing how they love people practically, I think they thing that you observe about them, is their essence, which is most important. There are things in life that just cannot be taught, it just needs to be imparted. So let me challenge you, always have an open heart and learn from Pastors and the leaders!!!

I can't seem to sleep....

Ha, was resting back at work and was supposed to sleep, but I just couldn't. Think it was due to the sufficient rest I had in the morning and had many thoughts just swirling in my mind, and was suddenly reminded of a something I wrote in my journal a while back;

'Just did a test for my course and through it, I realised the 'uniqueness' of people. We do things that we believe and are confident in, but when proved otherwise, we will change accordingly to ensure that we are politically correct.'

Looking at that it's so true, many of us change ourselves subconsciously to fit in. But I think for us, especially, though we might change our exterior to fit in, I think we must never change our values and morals just to 'fit in'. Think that's what really means to be the salt and the light of this world. That though we might look the same outwardly, but we live at a higher level. So let's really just stand, stand and hold on to the calling that God has on our lives.

Though I know that many of us do go through things, emotionally, mentally, etc. But I think when we focus on the call of God on our lives, it just suddenly gives us strength to go on, to press on just a little more. Because wouldn't it be a waste, when you realise after doing so much, though no results are showing, you just give up, only to realise that the breakthrough is just a short step away. If only you'd just push on a little more and then you would have experienced God at a whole new level!

Kept thinking about this at work, think even for myself, I really got to keep myself focused, though doing 'work' seriously gets boring and drains mentally... But I'm really hoping that I'd get more time and space to spend time with God. I'm looking forward to touch You once again God, let Your presence be with me!

Ha, haven't blogged in a long long time, thus, this is a first in a long long time, ha.

It's been quite a while at where I am, and I'm just looking forward to the day that I get out of it, where I get back the freedom to do what my heart so longs to do. Till then, I just got to persevere on till it comes. Like what Pastor Lia said, go through it week by week and by the time you know it, you're out of it, ha. Pastors really rock, ha.

Wells there are so many things that I would like to write, ha. But most of them are in my journal, and looking at it, I don't know what should I copy from it, ha. Think I seriously lost much of my writing skills due to a huge lack of writing, ha.

Anyways, that aside, I think things have been amazing. Everyone's really going to the next level whether it be on a individual basis, a CG, Zone, Church, etc. Church has really been going from glory to glory, from the days in Henderson, to FTMS to now presently Singpost. Looking back, God really has been with us, provided for us and really saw us through everything. I'm so looking forward to where else will God be taking us in the next few years!

Also, been really getting to know new people, ha. Though some of them have been in church for almost 2 years, it's only recently that I really got to know them and it's amazing seeing how the grew and also how they are rising up so quickly and strongly. A new generation is really rising, and with this we know that we're going to get to the thousands quickly.

We can smell it, feel it, think it, dream it. We've even come to the point to touch it, now we're going to go for it!

Many thoughts in my mind, can't really gather them together, ha. Maybe till the next time when I get everything together, ha. Till then, keep going people! I'll be back soon!
